Campbell County Detention Center offers various work programs for inmates to provide them with on the job training. Job positions that are offered range from laundry, janitorial and food service positions with in the facility to skill-intensive positions working with civilians in the community.
This program allows the inmates to work outside and be involved with the community projects while assisting their own efforts at re-entry into society. In September of 2017, Campbell County Extension Project department of horticulture partnered with the Female Class D Program with beautification around our facility. Female Class D inmates also maintain our facility's garden project. Inmates learn a variety of skills not only for basis of re-entry into society but to give back to the community.
